My Philosophy

  • Traditional Japanese Reiki focused on personal spiritual development through self-healing. When Reiki made its way to the west, it shifted toward a trained practitioner being the one to facilitate healing for others. In my practice, I honor both approaches.

With more than one person present, Reiki’s effects become magnified. I view myself as a conduit and collaborator with your energy. Reiki is a one-way stream that knows exactly what we most need in our energy field. It is gentle, loving, and yet extremely powerful.

I am equally committed to helping you develop your own self-Reiki practice so you can self-calm and strengthen your nervous system’s capacity between sessions as well.

    What I Believe

    • Heightened awareness is intelligence

    • We are not separate from, but an extension of nature

    • Our body’s unique rhythms should be honored

    • Rest is not earned, it is essential

    • Care should be accessible on our hardest days, and our easiest

  • What Ember & Hearth means

The ember represents your inner steady glow, your energy, your capacity, your life force.

The hearth represents the cozy place you come to rest, recharge, and restore.

Reiki reminds us that rest is not earned, it is productive and essential. Productive rest is how we sustain our wellbeing for the long haul.
